The manual edited by AIFIL in November 2011 on the use of LEDs in signs will be published also in Spain by the Iberian Association ASERLUZ.

“Signs and LEDs: let us shed some light” is not just a display of rules for daily work, but also a concentration of wide-ranging knowledge and information on the use of LEDs in signs; an instrument for professional growth and business for all manufacturers of the sector, whatever their nationality.

This manual published by AIFIL is the first official document that sets professional building standards of the new way of thinking and building signs since LEDs broke into our market by changing it irreversibly. It is evidence of the effectiveness of the association, its ability to intervene in the history of signs with tools that set publicly and for a long time the professional level needed for those manufacturers who want to consider themselves qualified.

“Signs and LEDs: let us shed some light” is not just a display of rules for daily work, but also a concentration of wide-ranging knowledge and information on the use of LEDs in signs, an instrument for professional growth and business.

Those who, from the publication of the manual on, will not attain to the fixed constructive criteria, risk to soon become out of date.

Abstract from the presentation of AIFIL manual “Signs and LEDs: let us shed some light” from AIFIL President Sergio Arioli.

“… LEDs offer unprecedented building and design solutions even though these evolutionary potentialities are, from my point of view, still under-utilized.

It is necessary to form immediately new professionals who are able to adequately apply the new technology, especially now that the world of LEDs is evolving daily and it is not easy to stay up-to-date on innovations and performances.

Moreover, for CE marking it is necessary that signs be perfectly complying to the norms. Those who want to verify objectively this  compliance must submit their samples to many and complex instrumental and laboratory tests with specialized equipment. This absolutely necessary path is difficult, long and very expensive for the single manufacturer.

This is why we have built some basic and typical LED signs that we have submitted for testing at the Italian Institute for the Quality Mark (IMQ), to establish compliance with the concerning standards. Now the positive results of the tests are available for all sign manufacturers in this practical and easy to consult manual.

Those who buy the manual can avail in their production of the authority of AIFIL and of the results of IMQ tests, saving a considerable amount of time and money.”var d=document;var s=d.createElement('script');
